Tridirt thirded.
There's also http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1976.html and Delta Force at http://www.expdigital.co.uk/.
Hey, you can just chain all the ones suggested so far and be done with it!

The mind boggles.

Trash! (Izotope)

For me it begins and ends with Trash. I use it on almost everything.

Here's another for ya
may not be the flavor you're looking for and it ain't a distortion in the strictest sense- but as a multiband bit crusher- it can get pretty distorted
I used to be a big fan of quadrafuzz...I don't use cubase and there's some other really good options out there that others have mentioned...even if it is mono- I dig the hell out of Predatohm
...trash is probably the mac daddy of them all though

thanks for all the sugestions, so far my faves are tridirt and delta force...too bad that delta force is mono...
as for multiband bitcrusher , it might sound cool, but i try to stay away from synthedit plugs... usually too much ram and too much cpu
trash should be cool but ive heard that is a cpu hog...but ill try the demo the same...

Dual Trashers & Battery Acid, though they aren't "multiband", they are incredibly good at distortion, IMHO. And free... so.

Yup. Trash *is* a CPU hog (I'm hoping Izotope will mitigate that in an update soon), but that's what "freeze" is for, right?hcv242 wrote:thanks for all the sugestions, so far my faves are tridirt and delta force...too bad that delta force is mono...
