cant you just reverse the original track, add reverb and then flip it back the right way? That's what I do for reverse reverb. I dont know of any revrse verb plugs. Maybe someone else will be able to help more.

It introduces latency, but you can reverse an impulse response in SIR.

The usual way is to do it offline in a wave editor. Reverse your file, apply reverb, reverse again. That way you can use any reverb you like.

no reverse the whole track isn't going to work for my need, it would be fine for single sounds tho, but thanks for the inputs~

Kjaerhus Classic Reverb (free). You can adjust the pre-delay in the negative direction, which sounds very like a reverse reverb.

Or www.artsacoustic.com - you can shape the reverb tail into inverse shapes (that ramp up instead of down) which sounds like reverse reverb.

Otherwise - the only real reverse reverb is reversed reverb.

Hey isn't there any effect that actually reverses the audio stream? No need to use a reversed reverb, just push the sound through the reverser and the reverb will play reversed as well. At least there is a SPSS plugin to WinAmp that does that.

What happens if you want to reverse an audio stream that is 3 minutes long? It would have to start playing from the end, and have enough memory to store the whole thing (or otherwise stream from disk in chunks). The whole thing gets a bit silly really. Just reverse the audio.

The other way to do it is to use a reverse delay. You specificy the time you want - maybe 2 bars - and then every 2 bars it re-plays the previous 2 bars, only backwards. The Line6 POD has this, and it's good for guitar players who want to play backwards licks in 'real time'. You just have to remember to play the licks two bars (or whatever you choose) earlier.

Yes I know that the track would have to be played backward. BUT: Playing the CHANNEL that needs the reversed REVERB is a totally different aspect.

Two different effect processes are being confused here. I will quote a bit from Paul White:

"Reverse reverb does not, as the name might suggest, involve anything actually being playing backwards but is instead achieved by applying a reverse envelope to a group of reflections so that, instead of decaying, it builds up in level after the original sound before cutting off abruptly....."

The second, and what entails the reverse of the signal as described here is actually called "backward reverb". Paul has a long section on it, but what has been said above by others basically describes it.

check out what can be done using Klanglab's backman:
http://klanglabs.siliconemusic.com/
may not look like much at first but it's pretty cooL:
the device uses 2 samplers- one records then plays WHILE the other plays then records, and depending on how you set it up- you can get, moreless a realtime reverse effect...and using the "sandwich" trick described on Klanglabs' site, you can actually get reverse verb live on drum loops! Admittedly- it works better on some things than others but it DOES work!

RaySpace has a Reverse button
I hope it will do the trick.

As people here are saying, you can adjust some delay units to sound like reverses.
In some of my tracks, I use Bouncy.
Here's an audio example:
Is this the sort of thing you're after?
Of course, you can manipulate it more - this is just a sound I used in a track once.

Here it is without Bouncy.
The instrument is just one instance of Crystal.

That looks nice. 8)

Use different length IRs in SIR's reverse mode and you can get some crazy reverse decay sounds.
