Since it is the winter olympics, I have grown to really like, even crave, the sound of metal skates on a ice surface swooping and cutting. Anyone know where I can find quality samples of this?

You probably would have to buy one. I used to know a guy who worked at the local ice-o-plex, but we lost contact after highschool. It would be hard to be able to get time alone on the ice to isolate that sound. There is no natural ice close to my home.

I don't have any natural ice either

maybe melting dry ice would sound cooler?
maybe I can get a ice skate sound by scraping an ice cube with solid metal?
