It's something simple, just to add some noise to your creations.

Doesn't just lip-sync, does it? I mean, if you have to have a separate processed track so the plug-in can just fake it, someone will find out sooner or later...

=^_^=

Hahaha, fantastic name!!!

quick review:

(+) nice noise presets :-)

(+) i like the name + skin is very nice work!

(-) the main volume is too low.

(-) cpu-load is 12-17%
only by loading the FX and running it,
with nothing else playing.

(+) if you find a way,
to lower cpu-load to 5-8% that would be cool.

vinyl dreams,
is not exactly the same thing,
but only uses 1-2% cpu load.

cheers

Post

Good report bambooman :)

I'll see what can I do in regard to CPU usage, and main Vol (I thought it was too quiet too)

Post

Jeez I just noticed I didn't changed the plugin internal name, it shows "Record Playa!" instead...will fix ASAP too.

Post

Done! it now uses 4%-5% CPU

Overall volume has been increased.

Internal name is now Milli Vinylli.

Please download the zip again HERE

Post

ok, now it seems that

preset-1 sounds low
preset-2 sounds medium
preset-3 sounds loud

anyways, preset 3 (ancient copy)
sounds ugly - like a "wind blow"
not like a "real vinyl behaviour"

preset 1+2 are much, much better.

cpu load is much better now :-)

it jumps between 4-5-7-9%

Post

Will play with this dil... eh this toy when I'm home.

preset 1 sounds low on purpose, is intended to add a subtle effect, second and third are louder in crescendo since ther is more noise.

I bet you'll end putting the first preset even more quieter.

That "wind blow" is the Friction generator (friction between needle and groove), if it is too loud or variation too high you can always adjust it to your taste.

The variation, for example on friction, is trying to emulate when a vinyl is slightly bent (by heat and time), you can hear somethig like a shoreline on a silent groove.

I have the very bad habit of updating my plugins after I just release them, so this time I've added one more parameter named "density"...this would be all for a while (unless you have some idea to add)
