Is there such a thing? I have the opportunity to pick up a G3/500Mhz. laptop for beer money and I'm wondering if I could press it into service as a simple mobile recording system.

Psycle fro my experience is very cpu friendly when using built in synths,and effects.

Uh, if Tracktion runs slow on your Dual G5 you gots a problem, and it ain't Tracktion.

I highly recommend Tracktion. Intuem is meh, imo. Too fiddly.

Your not going to do too much audio recording with a G3 laptop anyway... In which case were talking efficient music apps, of which, for a G3 there is only one... Reason 2.5 Tracktion 2 is OSX anyway... You could barely run OSX on a G3, if at all...
Reason will still run on OS9...

Inexpensive host that runs well on a G3/500Mhz?
