Interesting question.

Glassback, I really do find it funny/interesting that there's no "album"
and that we get to hear a compilation of your music due to a slight misunderstanding
and a great review.

I know that EMC is why I realized that the pic in your sig is a link.

By the way, TechBot - over on your station your sig link is saying something odd
an error message I think but I can't quite read it.

Been having a lot of trouble staying connected over the last couple of days.
Plays for a few minutes, then loses the connection and tells me 'the service is not available'.
Sometimes, if I try again a few minutes later, I get back on. Often I don't and give up after a while.

Ok The station is back up running. It is playing random songs.

I have just spent the past twenty hours straigh installing and configuring PHP and Mysql. What a nightmare!!!!!!

Anyway its working now, and we should remain pretty stable for the foreseable future.

However, The final piece of the puzzle is now being chissiled away at.

The html playlister is now redundant!!!!!

I am replacing it with a php-mysql thingy that should give us way more flexability. It will work ON-THE FLY rather than generating weekly playlists and it will involve USER INTERACTION.

It also means I have to write scripts to re-create the hourly show format such as Left's and Beardy's show.

I am really looking forward to this. I have wanted to dig into PHP for some time, but couldn't be bothered until I got my own static IP address. I haven't done anything really technical in over ten years. SO it will take me a bit of time before the cogs in the old brain start turning.

I'll post a link to the test php pages, in a day or so once I have something to show and we can debug it together.

Ok, well I was wrong about the "not having the time" but I was right about the
psycho "labor of love" part!

Hehe I think that will give me an inordinate amount of influence over the playing of vurt.

I went from getting how to find the current playlist to being back to seeing one thing on my VLC player (winamp alternative) and another on the site.

Techbot is dope.

For a while if I added 6 hours to the playlist page and hit "go" I'd see the same song
on the list somewhere as the song that was indicated on your sig, Techbot.
Now my VLC player says the same thing as your sig link but I can't find any hour of the correct
time and day that correlates with the song now playing... tis odd.

I know you must be making it even "upgradier" because the sig thingee is broken intermittently then comes back a while later.

Anyways, Sunday bump.
