 you are too funnay

firstly, BONES is signed to a pretty big industrial record company, has released 2 albums with his current bandmate and several things alone before that. He's been making music for, oh, about longer than I've lived, using various sort of hardware and software. He chose Orion, which he has used to make both of his latest commercial quality albums being sold around the world.

So, now its your turn. What have you done which would prove to us that you do know what you're talking about and not just trolling? Hell, the whole "teh omg nobody replied to my post :( might not well have even posted" emo thing just kinda shows that you're probably not any older than I am, and definetely acting younger.

For the record, Orion is just as flexible as whatever the f**k else you can come up with. Its a tradeoff between what you need, and Orion suits plenty of people that frequent here. BONES, Kriminal, vurt, probably more.

i guess i asked in the wrong forum, time to head over to VSS...

Arguments like this one are just terrible marketing bullshit, Arke ;-)
('X uses Y - so Y must be da shit')
- b.t.w.: Bones music isn't exactly complex, you know? You could make it easily on almost anything. This hasn't got anything do to with what label he's signed to or how many records he might sell...

no, i want decent support
and why wouldn't you have it with IL? they're very professional. if you use proper ways to report bugs, they are very responsive.

Well, [before the predicatable and tiresome Bones intervention] some of us tried to help you

Also I think most of the alternatives have been mentioned here. Beyond that it really is a matter of you trying them out and finding the right fit for you. If your main/only problem with Orion relates to rendering however, maybe there's another way around that, e.g. using a designated pro-quality audio editor?

I never mentioned any probs.

Ive demoed a few, one seems ok, but not ideal.

I agree with this point.

I use a crap host and my music is crap. But I'm confident that my music would be just as bad whatever host I use...

Wasn't what I was implying. All I was implying, however, is that BONES managed to get this far using Orion.

Doesn't mean I'm gonna start using Orion now - I'm perfectly happy with FLS, thanks.

And regarding complexity - you haven't listened to recent popular music, have you?

I agreed with Jens' point. I think that the fact "that BONES managed to get this far using Orion" is entirely irrelevant, a red herring. Kriminal's musical aspirations may be entirely different from Bones'.

Exactly :) . Each to their own.

...so let's bear that in mind when giving advice to Kriminal and others

:hihi:

But once again, Kriminal might not want to produce stuff in the "recent popular music" genre.

no, I haven't - but in which way is this of any relevance?
