Has anybody ordered from soundsonline in the UK? Were you hammered for tax? There are a few libraries where I would like to take advantage of the 30% offer but as they only use fedex my recollection is that they always get you for the tax.

Yep, exactly right. I've ordered from them a couple of times now and always end up with a bill from Fedex for import duty, VAT and their handling charge. When I look on the soundsonline site I just add 20% to get the real cost. There are a few deals here in the UK on the higher priced EW libraries that work out much better then the 30% they are offering in the US. Plus check out Time & Space, they still have their 50% sale going on selected items.
I accept the import duty and VAT charge, no getting 'round that, but what I thought was rude was when I picked up EWQLSO Gold in the group buy some time ago, the offer included free delivery. This wasn't declared on the package so customs kindly added $25 to the declared value before calculating the duty and VAT. Not worth arguing about but rude none the less.
