Ive setup the env2midi plugin to take incoming audio, and
then connected the outcomming midi output to a vst plugin (Pro53).
Then Ive turned on midi learn on the cutoff knob but nothing happens.
Have I forgotten something?

Yes. Or maybe not.

Just had a look at this: env2MIDI translates incoming audio to the CC you select (e.g. default CC74 I believe).

The easiest way in eXT is to use the CC Map (from the File menu of the window in which the VST is encapsulated), and then connect the CC (e.g. 74) to the VST parameter that you want to control. I only have Pro53 Express, but I could hear some weird effects this way. (If I connect to 'Modulation', I can see the mod wheel in the GUI move).

Hope this helps.

btw, the way I tested this, is to use another VST (e.g. 4Front Piano) to generate the audio, so I could have full control over what's happening. The incoming MIDI was routed to both Pro53 and to the Piano. Piano output -> env2midi -> Pro 53.

Another cause might be the incoming audio: What are you using for that?

I think the problem is with the midi learn of some NI instruments .
For me this feature of Reaktor is not always working as it should (even that all the necessary steps are enabled) and then I just use the manual approach (cc map the parameter in eXT) .

I am using it to modulate the synth volume (in this case cutoff - just to hear the results) by using the audio output from a drum track.

Ive done the same thing in FLoops using the peak controller plugin.
The effect is similair to vocoding...

Ill try to map the CC manually... thnx

Manually mapping worked!!!
Thanx guys!!!

Great to see that it works. And thanks for this idea, I had never used env2midi yet :).
