FL just for exporting loops

Does anyone still use FL to just make loops that they export in another program. I have been using FL for a while but it is certain things I do not like about the audio handling like if a audio clip is muted when you start playback then you unmute it during playback you have to start playback over to get it to sound. So does anyone make loops in FL and export the loops and sequence in another program. THanks

I make loops in FL, compose in FL, mix in FL, record in FL, listen to music in FL, use FL to convert file formats, and use FL for pretty much anything ... I also have Sound Forge for a few needs but mostly FL is a one stop shop for me.

technically I do but I don't look at it that way...I usually render entire parts and I always do my audio work in either Sonar5 or AA2.0...but I do repeat patterns in FL, so I guess technically that's loops...but rarely do I make loops and then construct with loops in another application...

I used to use FL this way, before I owned it, since 2.72 -- works great if thats waht you need it for -- but i compose the entire backdrop to a song in it first, then export the whole wav into my multitracker

Are you saying you export just one wave or the tracks broken down by instrument. If I export say the drums should I export the snare and kick separately or as one.

I render the tracks I want through the mixer...though you can also use "split mixer tracks"...the former works better with multiple out vsts as you don't get the vsts' masters...just the outs you choose..it's also good if you go back and change one part...all you have to do is arm each track you want to render for recording in the mixer and tell it where to save it (good time to name it too) and go to the upper left corner of the mixer and render...or just hit alt r when everything is ready...then you have multiple tracks, from there I just batch import them into my other app...they line up alphabetically, so I have to re-arrange them to appear in my audio program the way I like...jmbriley wrote:Are you saying you export just one wave or the tracks broken down by instrument. I use BFD, with its 17 outputs -- In FL, I put the snare top and bottom on one channel, kick in and out on one, hihat is alone, toms on one, cyms on one, then i export those channels, and the 3 room mic channels seperately.jmbriley wrote:Are you saying you export just one wave or the tracks broken down by instrument. I then mix them in my audio editor.
If FL improves its playlist/audio recording ability -- I plan on using it exlcusively for EVERYTHIGN.

really it's so simple
1. make sure all the tracks are assigned a mixer track (if you don't have producer editiion stop here, you need the mixer)
2. click the disk icon you would for recording audio in the mixer and tell it where to save the file...do this for every track you want to render
3. Click the dropdown menu in the upper lefthand corner of the mixer window and Disk Recording>render to wave...or just hit alt and "r" together once you've assigned the tracks you want for rendering...
