I was going to use this to kill low frequencies in the master bus.
I set a cut-off point of 50KHz, zero resonance. But the track is actually a bit louder - Inspector show it clipping slightly in one place when it was entirely in the safe zone before. Shouldn't the hipass filter rather have reduced the volume - especially since it's a bass-heavy track?
How would you rate the suite of Apple's native AU plug-ins anyway?

say you have a track with some very low or even DC component, limited to be wall to wall full scale.
if you remove that DC component, it is like changing offset of the track relative to 0, i don't know if that'd make it louder but you can get some clipping.
