Hey guys
I signed up to this forum ages ago and haven't posted anything yet so apologies that my first post is asking for assistance!!
I am trying to find a really nice, natural sounding free reverb plugin for Cubase.
I am working really hard at getting a good vocal recording and my singing abilities seem to be inmproving, my effective use of compression, double tracking, double track delays and so on is starting to sound nice now, but I can't find a reverb I like.
Does anyone have any tips on a great sounding reverb, or any advise as to how best to set the reverb up?
Cheers guys

For these kinds of things in general, you always want to first check out if Kjaerhus, BetaBugs, or mda have what you're looking for.Jamieh1 wrote:Hey guys

And they do - Kjaerhus has the Classic reverb, mda has the mda Reverb ... I haven't used the mda Reverb yet as I've been satisfied with either the Kjaerhus one or the one included in my host.

SIR for impulse reverb. Impulses can be downloaded from noisevault (amongsr others)
If you are using SX3.x. It already comes with the Ambience reverb, different GUI though. Like this reverb on Drums and for small rooms, not on vocals though.
DX reverb light from Anwidasoft is very usefull too.
Do a search, and you will find tons of others....
Cheers!

Hi Jamieh1 and welcome!!!!
No need to apologise - glad to help if I can!
One word - Glaceverb
I ADORE that reverb... not used it on vox tho
Hope this helps - there are a million free ones so you need to do some testing... the reverbs mentioned are ALL excellent tho!
Take Care,
Dave

You'd like my old poodle.
Wait a second, are you... molly?
Well, even if you're not, Molly would want to say "Hi Jamieh1 and welcome!!!!" too.
Only, she'd say it more like "grrrhARK! HRRRark! bhaRK! BRKBARKBARK!"
Which means the same thing.
Oh yah, I'd like to welcome you too Janiehl,
though it seems a little funny to do now.
Lets just say Molly speaks for both her and myself when she says
"grrrhARK! HRRRark! bhaRK! BRKBARKBARK!"
