Even the first 14? All the ones after that should be called "Init". It seems to work fine in Minihost 1.64(d) here.ChocoLatteRabbit wrote:GUI is working in CMUZYS and MiniHost. I like your taste in colour schemes... That one is certainly easy on the eyes!ianweb123 wrote:How many different GUI schemes do you thisnk we will see for this one.. This took two minutes!

I think that you only have to look at the thread traffic to see that we are looking at a benchmark synth, amazing since it is offering <quote> nothing new </quote>
I love the way that the random patch generator comes up with names that you think are relevent to the sound -- bizarro or what

hi!
ver very nice synth! sounds good and the randomizer is fantastic! but have some probs with the randomizer in fl 6.08.
sometimes fl crashes after randomizing with this error massage:
access violation at adress 00E233F3 in module 'FLEngine.dll'. Read of Adress 16171A17.

many good things about this synth (skinnable , feature rich, decent filters).... but disappointed with the saw/ramp oscillator.(much better sounding oscillator in some other free synths)
gui needs to be 30% bigger IMO. those knobs are so tiny to grab.

Kickass synth. But to join the choire: I really wish the controls weren't that tiny.
Had one crash though, happening in Logic, when switching from "editor" to "control" view mode (the latter being Logics generic plugin UI).
Seems to be quite a capable thingy.

Sorry to take so long to get back, Fuzzpilz. Just woke up this morning.Fuzzpilz wrote:Even the first 14? All the ones after that should be called "Init". I'm using Minihost 1.64, but I don't know about the (d) thing. Maybe I need to check their site for upgrades.
But anyway, when I open minihost, the first preset has the proper name, and all the rest show init., init 2, init 3, init 4, etc. If I click on init 7, for instance, its name will show in the preset box, as well as preset 1's name will be correct, and all the rest are "init's."
I also just found out that CMUZYS and MiniHost do not recognize each other's presets. If I create a preset in MiniHost, CMUZYS will not recognize it and vice versa. I just tested this with a different synth, and the result was identical. So, the problem does not seem to be with OATMEAL, but with my older hosts, and I'm somewhat inclined to think the problem is within MiniHost.
Anyway, it's not a problem as long as I stay with CMUZYS for this synth. And I'll check TobyBear's site for upgrades to MiniHost.
I'll be upgrading my host as soon as MUTOOLS makes their new release available to the public.
Congratulations again, on OATMEAL. IT IS A HIT!!! AND IT'S GOING TO BE HUGE. WHEN EVERYONE STARTS RELEASING PATCHBANKS, THE REST WILL BE HISTORY.

I rather doubt it, but it can't hurt to try.Markleford wrote:Quick, Fuzzpilz: put up a PayPal donation link! You'll clean up!

Seriously, though - again, thanks for the friendly welcome. I'll be looking for the crash-inducing bugs it apparently still has today, hopefully with some success.
