Hi all
I've a problem with Cubase SX3.My problem is about recording midi from any VST:
When i press record button and start playing, the notes i played are not recorded at the right time. The note i played goes back a few seconds when i release the key of the kb.You can understsand the problem well if you watch the video capture. Here is the link:

That video capture is an excellent idea.

I don't use cubase so I didn't actually look but I'll bump this and hopefully someone will help you.

Dear torecagli, I see your video. I assume that you are using a audio-midi interface. and you are using same interface to record both audio and midi.

solution may be,..dont use same interface to record both audio/midi. Try a different midi inteface(low cost 'Audiotrak Midimate' type may also work fine)with cubase for midi.It is a wierd problem with cubaseSX/Nuendo.
In case you give us your hardware config, interface details, may help us to give more ideas.

Tools are tools, they don't produce anything...

Check the system timestamp is enabled in devices->device setup, Windows Midi or DirectMusic (which ever driver you use).

SonicBreezee, in fact, i don't know what an audio-midi interface is exactly.
I use Creative SB Live 24-bit.This card doesn't come with an ASIO driver. So i use asio4all driver. The latency is 2 ms.
And i use my Yamaha Tyros kb as usb midi controller.
There is no problem while playing. The problem is about midi record timing. The notes aren't recorded properly.
May it be because of asio4all driver?Does an asio driver cause a problem like this?Perhaps i should try a different driver.
Anyway, i hope someone will solve my problem :)
Thanks for your concerns.

Please do not hijack this thread. I know your implications. For gawds sake let people talk about Nuendo in KVR.
Tools are tools, they don't produce anything...
