What's up...I was wondering if there are any programs out there that will accept an audio file and cut the audio file into smaller clips. I bassically want to cut my songs into smaller clips without going through each file in cool edit. Any one know of any program that does this?
thanx

The three programs I listed will all give you that option, they are versatile and give the user the ability to alter start, duration and end times - remove, add regions etc

Im wondering if this is possible in Sound Forge.
I see where you are able to put markers and regions but i can seems hard to automate the process of creating 30 second clips of the audio and mixing them to wav format without manually selecting the audio and then mixing down to wav each time.

Yes its possible in a number of ways in sound forge - probably the easiest is - select 'auto region',

and define what the regions should be - then when the regions are set - select 'extract regions',

this will then pump the waves to disk in bits according to the regions set in the file.

wait is there a way to make the minimum duration larger than 3 seconds. Is there a way to maybe insert a command? I am mainly having problems automating the marker/region layout for 30 seconds without doing each marker individually. IF theres no way then it is what it is but it would be such a blessing
Thanks again

Thanks man.Spe3D wrote:Yes its possible in a number of ways in sound forge - probably the easiest is - select 'auto region',
After trying this out in SF6 (and learning about regions in the process -- helps to read docs eh?) it seems you can drag/reorder regions right in the SF6 region window. It is a pretty cool way to make some alterations to beats. I was going to ask you do you know if BeatCreator can do this too? The SF6 way is kind of tedious to work with.
Thanks for your time.
