Learjeff, thanks for your post, and the kind words. I guess the 'other' thread is where the 24 bit SoundFont talk belongs for now.

I'd really like to get some of that clear in my head before I start a new batch of samples.

Found this from George Thorn at Creative. Indicates version 2.4 of the SoundFont format supports 24-bit samples and it should be backwards compatiable with older SoundFont engines.

Vienna 2.4 can save in the 2.4 format. I've been playing around with it some. Looks like the older SoundFont players can read the files, but the jury is still out on how well they convert them.
