I did a serach and I foung a best delay thread but it was from 2004. Can anyone recommend a good delay. Free or not free. I got Retro Delay already and I love that. But that is really all I got. I love delays as I am sure a lot of people do.
If someone can point me to a recent best delay thread that would be great too.

I am a delay fanatic. Love 'em. I spent a long time trying all sorts of delays before I finally found one I really liked. And that was the Sonitus delay that came with Sonar Producer Edition.

mda Dubdelay
AudioDamage Dubstation
Smartelectronix AnalogDelay
Smartelectronix Transverb
Are all good and either free or cheap. Transverb tends more towards FSU but can work as a delay.

I agree - this is a great and very underated delay which can be had separately for around $50-$60 or so from Cakewalk - a knockout! The only other one I feel is better but is too expensive if sold separately is Wave's Supertap 6 which is even better than the Sonitus (and I am Sonitus lover). With Super Tap you get great presets plus...plus a nice Chrous and a great Vocal Exciter preset.Cabinfever wrote: And that was the Sonitus delay that came with Sonar Producer Edition.
For $150 you can get Musician's Bundle II (Ren EQ, Super Tap 6, Doubler, RVox, and RenComp) - best small pack age out there.
God bless

I've been hooked on the delays over at The Dub Scrolls lately... Nice'n'warm. Quite good for free plugs.

Midiworks, thanks for the Retro Delay link. I haven't seen that one before and it looks really cool!

Kjaerhus Audio Classic Delay for me. I like the way it can degrade the sound.
