OK, well, I'll look into this, sounds like a great solution to Cubase's shortcomings.

OMG: if I start using Ext, then I'll be a real KVR'er... :o

Well, but in addition you'll be really clever as well.

Seriously, while I don't know anything about your workflow and preferences, I can't imagine you'll be regretting getting eXT, even if you never even touch the sequencer.
Think of it as a giant rack of anything VST that you can place anywhere in your signal chain, with routing and controlling options that are entirely up to you.
Just insert that overdrive without thinking whether you may need a pre-EQ later on, thus running into the usual trouble. In eXT you just call it up, reconnect the cables (a matter of seconds, believe it, coming from someone being all about workflow) and there you go. No temporary savings of plugin settings anymore.

Personally, I haven't even touched 5% of the possibilities, yet I wouldn't want to live without it any longer - unfortunately I may have to, for my future main sequencing machine... but even then I can still use the PC as a nice VST rack, thanks to all the nice controlling features of eXT.

And hey, no way that I'm usually trying to get someone into purchasing something. But IMO eXT is a must for every VST afficionado.
And uhm, let's not forget the painless copy protection. You'll get a key file and that's about it. Nothing computer dependent, nothing blue-ish sticking in your machine either, absolutely hasslefree.

Sounds great, Sascha. At that price, it'd have to suck bigtime not to be worth it. Even as simply an effect stacker, it sounds ideal.

I downloaded the "effect" and "instrument" versions, I assume that's all I'd need for Cubase, and I'll spend some time with it. Exciting! :D

You "logic" trolls should step down from your fantasies and realize that SX kicks logic butt with both hands tied on the back, logic sucks every wich way i look at it, starting from the fairy tale look, too damn effeminate for my taste, as mac is for instance, well i know i'm allergic to that apple stuff so logic being a corner stone of idiocy is no surprise.

My dislike of logic goes beyond the kitch look, it is not smart and unintuitive, if it looks complex at first glance, well it isn't. It's rather limited laking a lot of functionalities and anothers working rather bad, at least this is common knowlledge.
Their cryptic GUI objective is to hide its naivety.

okey, sasha monkeyboy, so everybody who pinches the sacrosaint(in your head, moron) logic is brain farting??? well i'm really hurt.
So kingston, do you comprehendwhat's an hypocrite, well it means you're phony as Steve Jobs is, only less sucessfull... take a look in the mirror if you haven't get it already.

Well, logic loosers, at least now you know the some cubasers think that your app is the suck donkey balls supreme team of all time, this you know for sure and nobody can take away this from you.

Last word is gonna be yours as usual, you sorry excuse for an orgasm.

Has someone just written some truly informational post about why Cubase would be a great thing to have and why it's allways a good talk with them users? Seems to me...
But then, it might've been something else.

At times like this, the 'mute me' button seems like the most ingenius idea ever!

You are the sorry wanker, spaceman, go use logic.
I bet you are a sorry puppy who couldn't even look me in the eye in real life.

Logic is not the topic fuckinc morons, logic isn't an example to anybody. do you need it plainer.

The list of features you don't have goes on and on but people who can't set a macro in cubase to replace the the aroow tool by the "ahem" arrow key califies as an uber idiot, if that idiot says he teaches cubase is a frigging liar, if he teaches it for real he is somewhere bettwen the wanker and a f**king impostor... read the average logic troll.

Easy, easy, guys...

Your software is JUST A TOOL, damned.

It's like hammer and screw driver.
One is for nails and one is for screws.
Both are holding something on the wall, and that's what counts

Don't put your energy in arguments,
put it in your music and creativity :)

stag, boy, don't you think you drink too much?
Just go to bed and live Logic and Cubase aside for now, it's just too hard for you to understand now what this discussion is about.
On he other hand I think here at kvr a minimum age condition should be required.
