Can anybody with a higher degree of knowledge on the midi front give me some advice on the following.
I need to connect a Nord Electro, CME UF7, Roland PK5 pedalboard, B4D drawbar controller to Receptor.
I need a midi merge device i think consisting of four midi in's and one or more outs. Is this ok? and will it connect all my controller gear to receptor? I'd prefer a box merger than a rackmount one, and could anyone point me into the right direction of a suitable one.
Thanks

Hi C3boy,
look at:
http://www.midisolutions.com/prodqmr.htm
I just picked up one of these from www.midi-classics.com. Works great, no battery required, handles 3 sources fine for me.

Kevin L.

i actually had some trouble using a quadra merge and pk5 together. the pk5 running through the QM did some funny things, like change patches on the receptor when i tried to play notes. i have to believe it's something quirky with my particular setup, but if you have any way of testing it out first, i'd recommend it.

Well aside from buying a rackmount merger, its my only option i think, so i bought it. If it is causing problems i'll send it back when I have had a chance to use it.cbreeze34 wrote:i actually had some trouble using a quadra merge and pk5 together. the pk5 running through the QM did some funny things, like change patches on the receptor when i tried to play notes. i have to believe it's something quirky with my particular setup, but if you have any way of testing it out first, i'd recommend it.

You may want to look into an old MX8 or some of the other single rack space MIDI patchbays. They are wonderful MDI workhorses.
