Yeah...easier than I thought. Nice time saver. So much so, in fact, that I'll probably only work with the REX files where possible in the future. I thought I'd really get the most out of the Kontakt 2 (.nki) files on the ProFiles discs, but, live and learn as they say...Beardedone wrote:Awesome eh BERFAB? RX2 is so easy to use.

Squids wrote:Uhhhhh. Woops! When I read this I was wondering what you were talking about and I have just discovered that all of the stereo loops for Classic Rock didn't make into the folder due to a mistake. You can see in the multitrack folders what grooves were supposed to be in there. Sorry about that. So, I am adding the stereo Classic Rock loops to the list of "extras" that we're going to be putting up as downloads for all Special Edition owners. That along with some Danny Gottlieb multitracks and some extra stereo fills and varations to some of the loops you have so you can have an idea of what that's like. That's coming next week some time.Hewitt Huntwork wrote: wished there was more than one loop included for Classic Rock.

ooooh, way cool!! What format will these be in?Squids wrote:
Keith's title? It has some riffs on it but it is mostly playable instruments like his Moog Modular, Hammond Organ (pre and post knifed) and the GX-1.

Wave with samplers that point to waves like Kontakt, HALion, EXS etc. However, we'll be sure to do it as a refill and in ST format too but probably as a sep product. (cheap crossgrades for people who want to buy more than one type though).harmony gardens wrote:ooooh, way cool!! What format will these be in?Squids wrote:

Woah. I have to apologize. It seems we missed a couple of things in the stereo section! No wonder some people were wondering where all the rock loops were.
Not only are the bulk of the Classic Rock mirror stereo to multitrack loops missing in the stereo section but also the British Rock loops too. That was not intentional. Well, we're adding it to the list. Expect a nice free update on the stereo files some time next week. We really do apologize for the mistake. I honestly don't know how it happened except that it could be because we were trying to do too much in such a short time (especially all of the extra custom requests like Sonar etc.). The main thing is the multitrack material of course and both the Classic Rock and British Rock loops ARE there. But, we wanted to also provide those as stereo for a lot of reasons (not to mention that it seems like a decent amount of people were MOSTLY interested in the stereo loops).
This is rare and I feel bad that it happened. However, we'll make up for this to anyone who wanted more out of the stereo loop section. Everyone also has that ability to apply it as full credit toward another full title (or downloadable sound packs which are coming by the end of next week as well) which will also help. Overall, I hope that people are seeing what a great series this is for either multitrack or stereo loops from great drummers and all kinds of different styles and formats. There will continue to be special benefits for being the first to get a Studio ProFiles title. I hope that it will remain a very enjoyable thing to get into for everyone who joined the group buy.

Thanks Beergeek. Well, that IS the main event. The Multitracks. But, still... I get frustrated when we miss the mark on what we were intending. These custom group buys are hard to do. It's almost insanity. I am not saying we'll stop. But, I think we're going to do the product FIRST and then maybe add a few things at the end as icing on top. Actually that was SUPPOSED to be how this was but we went overboard (could barely even fit it all on 2 DVDs when it was supposed to just be 1). It's ironic that we put all this effort into so much extra stuff that isn't even normally on Studio ProFiles necesarily (the regular titles) but missed some of the things that are (like the mirror stereo to multitrack files). Arrrgggh!!!! Oh well. Live and learn.beergeek wrote:Squids, that's great....I've been too busy with the multi-tracks to notice
I think we're going to make an update down the road with the drum kit in BFD format, the Apple Loops in 24 bit (we got them to work in GB but there are some oddities that need tweaking first... we're using a preliminary version of the RAW software). This update would have to be on disc though. It will have even more loops (but the same ones we're offering as free download). However, it will be a free update apart from shipping (and even that can be timed perhaps to be thrown in while you make any other purchase... even the one where you get to apply the SE as full credit toward another SP title or something). The important thing to know is that we are dedicated to making these do as many things for as many people as possible and that we want to be sure that the value of both the SE and the series is fully appreciated.

I mean Rex as well as Wave and Apple Loops. No worries.
Also, RAW is coming. I think we're going to release it as a sound collection first because I don't want the RAW sound management tool which is taking longer to hold up the product. It was originally announced as a sound collection and I spilled the beans about the extra stuff a bit here. It'll be a cool system of working as it grows. But, it is getting really close to release as a 5,000 loop/phrase sound collection in REX, Apple Loops, Wave. Pretty incredible! I am having a blast playing with it. It's so easy to create tracks. Anyone doing scoring can make BANK off of this thing. Singer/songwriters as well.

Quick question from a newcomer. I received the Studio Profiles today and loaded them up hoping to play the kits in Reason. However, all the sounds get chopped off - am I doing something wrong? Is this a sustain pedal issue on my controller? The loops sound great by the way.
Thanks.
Jeremy
