CC4 -- wow, that's a pretty impressive list. I may have figured out how to fix buzz from crashing from some of that information. (Now I understand what underface said about NT compatibility mode.)

Also, 4tune, thanks for the Renoise link. I may get it at some point, but right now I think I have all the software I can handle. It does look like Renoise can handle just about anything, though.
