Hello all
Been working on an update to freeamp, have reduced the CPU use quite a bit, and IMHO improved the tone a lot? Have added host tempo sync to the tremolo and delay, along with tap tempo.
Any requests for the new version would be cool to hear about?
Let me know if you have any?

what comes immediatly to my mind,
would be a way to use the FX in a modular way,
that I can change the line up of the FX the way I want.
That would be cool imho.

Apart from CPU and what rsmus said, I wouldn't mind if the presets were more even in perceived loudness. You can't really cycle through without making adjustments. Just a practical thing for when we're being lazy and just cycle through for something that might fit.
That, and a kick ass pitch shifter.
Oh, and thank you.

a phaser pedal.
a "swell" pedal. or maybe adding a swell function to the compressor or noise gate.
a pitchshifter or a reverse effect.
a mini "tripp lead LE: fretted signature" pedal
(ok, drop this one!)
an optional inverter for the cc signals for the wah
a feedback chain for the echo
then I'm done,
anyway I'm already happy with the syncs, taps and the reduced cpu!
thanx a lot.
oh, maybe the preset names are a bit too wicked. it's boring, but at least 8/16 of'em should have shockingly original names like lead, clean, wah, etc.

- CPU Usage is a bit high (but glad to see you're working on that!)
- A new type of overdrive, something kinda between Tube and CrapU
- A different layout - I'd like to see 8 pedals on the left, 4 on the top, 4 on the bottom, as well as a bit smaller, with the amp on the right (looking like a half stack).
- Separate the Reverb and Delay into two separate pedals.
- A Phaser Pedal
- Separating the Pre and Post Compressor into two separate pedals
- Instead of the weird EQ1-EQ4 thing, have one 7-band EQ or such on the Amp
- Or, just one 3-band EQ on the amp, and a 7-band EQ pedal
- In general, a smaller interface
- Theres a small glitch with placement of some elements when you choose the Hives Green speaker
I can't wait!

What he said! Particularly the swell effect...an emulation of the old Boss SG-1 Slow Gear would be primo. And yeah, a Phasorwaiting man wrote:a phaser pedal.

would be cool, a tremolo would be nice or better still a true
pitchshifting vibrato like the old Magnatone amps would be tits!! Perhaps you could expand the chorus with more delay
times so it could handle flanging and slapback?
I'd also like to see some more speaker choices...open/closed back and single 8, 10 & 12 would be cool...also being able to bypass the cabinet sim altogether might be useful at times.
Now get to work!!
Cheers.....CL

CPU, reverb/delay divorce, other speakers, that's already great ideas.

rsmus7 - I dont know if that would be possable in SE right now? will look more at it, as an alternative would being able to place the FX pre or post amp in a fixed order be OK?
androidlove - let me see if I can do anything for you on that
waiting man - a phase shifter is high on my list also
Just not too happy with any I have built yet? will keep trying.
What do you mean by swell FX ? there is MIDI volume already, would it help to be able to limit its range?
For the pitch shifter I would prefer an octaver (still some to learn there also)
The only one I have heard in a VST that I like so far is the one by Daniel (ddrummer)
Thanks for all the other replies
To answer some of the other questions, Yes there might be plans to re-do the entire GUI (thanks Grymmjack) And now that I have cleaned things up inside FreeAmpSE adding new amps, speakers and distortions can be done quite easy
So it should grow fast.
And who said this plugin is so Garage
I beg your pardon! although it was over thirty years ago, I have very fond memories of them garage tones
I guess it shows
Thanks

Thank you very much for the free nature of this! Really generous.
When can we expect to try the update? A few days? Weeks?

I'm not sure if it has it or not, but can I request a "no speaker simulation" option so it can be used with impulses?
