But all the prices are in U.S. $$$ and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that. Am i wrong about this? God only knows who they use for currency conversion, so i can't even see the price i'd pay til i give all my details (even if they do then reveal it in £££'s.) I'm sorry, but in this day and age there is no need for that level of ignorance, imageline is not even an U.S. Company ffs. :| Anyway...one sale lost, they don't care, so f**k it. I'll continue to not care either and just rip the piss out of the demo still (midi rendering, bouncing etc.) :tu:

www.xe.com is often close. I've only been a couple of quid out when spending up to 200, so it should be close enough.

Why not just ask them how much it'll be in pounds. I payed in dollars from Paypal, but I have euros. No problem

on the upside, we're doing well in 'stralia so far. ;-)

can you not order by VISA? Then you should get a good rate through your credit card. I'm sure you could check the rate you'd get with your card fairly easily.

We're kicking arse in melbourne, although typical bbc talking about great state that british swimming is in. If we hadn't won anything they'd have been slagging off the state of scottish swimming :box:

I don't really see what's mean about trying to buy something? Who knows, i'm not all that smart (another scottish stereotype?) it just might be mean to do so.

Anyway, even buying from ebay/amazon et al you pay in your native currency (or an immediate conversion rate is offered.) No, they stick to $'s (which isn't even their native currency) and offer no alternatives, so f**k em, they can pander to the states all they want.
I don't use FLStudio as a sequencer anyway, i use acid for that (and when i bought that surprisingly they let me pay in £'s, how odd of them.) I was just going to buy it to do the right thing so to speak, but if they can't offer me a proper way to pay, then i can't offer them anything. I'm doing nothing wrong by taking full advantage of their imposed limitations, so i shall continue as i have up til now.

Yeah, but not as well as us Aussies!! :hyper: :hyper:

(I'm not bein' a prick though: i dig the Scots - my mum is an Edinburgh girl!)

Anwyay, back on topic: RE: make a guess how much it'll be in Sterling and buy FLStudio anyway. Sure its a generous demo, but you'll get so much more out of the full-version. C'mon, you know you want it.....

Guess it depends on how badly you want to do the 'right thing'....

Until i get the option to pay in £'s, or they offer an instant conversion rate, then i'll continue to do as i do. I'm sorry, i may be acting like an idiot or a child, but that's how it is. I have NEVER came across a site that ships/sells worldwide but offers no option than either their own currency or $'s, never.

GreyLion, it's not the boxed version i want, i could take a bus to glasgow and get that (and all the inclusive upgrade restrictions.)

anyway, it's only £79 here http://www.gear4music.com/index.php?sec ... L_AyDfv5AR

open google in another window and in the search box enter:

149$ in pounds (or whatever the price is of what you want to purchase)

and you get the actual price in your currency.
no big deal

Yep, comes out to 85 pounds. :o That's pretty damn good.

I'd bet the majority of their customer base is from the US.

They can suck my... i'll buy something else (in £'s :D ) I have my eye on an akai mpd16 anyway.

Of course, there is a POV that says buying in $$ is a benefit bearing in mind the current weakness of the $$ against the ££. *shrugs*

Given the choice I'd buy in $$ at the moment. IL themselves will admit that they lose currently on the conversion.

Not like a Scotsman to miss a bargain :hihi:

Kidding.
Trying to change the world by posting on a forum is like crying on the Sun to put it out.

Buy ORION.

How good is it for making loops, midi files and small sequences etc (since that's all i use fl for.) Just checked the price (and yes, it gives currency options :) :P ) only £120 for platinum...taking into account you get toxic with it (but is it a vsti version or native?)
