There's actually one thing I've discovered in the past couple of days that is a real bother in OPlat - drawing automation "curves". The line tool is great for linear moves, but just try drawing an even partially smooth curve with the pencil tool!

The noise I make after spending ages trying to get a decently smooth curve is "aaarrggghhhh"!

nice to know theres gui improvments in the pipeline..

and I will say from the screenshot (imo) its an improvement.. but not by a lot.

nice color scheme.. and the design itself I like..

but its out of proportion.. the sampler window (for instance) is huge, while the control knobs are very small.. and it has those cheesey oversized, cartoon bevels in it.. with lots of free/dead space..

its like putting 13" tires on a big mercedes.. just doesnt look right..

Thats why I was suggesting a commercial team that does this stuff for a living.. bitplant did the gui for z3ta+ and reason among others.. and I know there has to be a ton of ex-winamp and other artists on deviantart etc..

I wish I had some deep pockets as I'd hire someone myself..

woolyloach: right click on the curve screen and select smooth.. you might have to smooth a couple times.. though if you do it too many times at once (or while the song is playing.. -not recommmended- it may crash.. so save beforehand

I must really stress and point out that the final skin and looks will be revealed later. The freely avail Azura isn't really the final skin (barely starting point), plus there are several skinning improvements to skin the last bits which were unskinnable before.

This is my personal Orion mixerskin:

I made it to have narrow strips so I could have more strips on my screen at once. However, you need a serious vertical resolution to be able to use it (this is the real size)
