thanks, vtx, for pointing that out... perhaps someone fire up Synthedit and create a simple "Balance" effect, that will help us in the fight against unbalanced audio and DC offset!!

Well, its easier to have a separate pan button, I believe, but either one works fine

Err, I meant knob. In pretty much any host, you have a slider for volume, and a knob for pan.

Except Acid (two sliders, one for left, one for right), and Sonar (some sort of weird horizontal slider thing, not much different than the pan knob).

Agreed. And besides that I don't see that you correct any inbalance that occurs on a 'track' (from a specific instrument) at the level of a complete mix (as the master fader does).

Actually, I've released about 20 or so plugs before I had to move.... All my shit is packed up.... this isn't , ONLY for me... most of the posts are quite interesting and give you a good perspective on ORION... now, it seems that you and bones suffer from the same affliction, you FORGET THAT MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES.... and by the way, it's a little harder to sell shit here in the states, IE - LISTEN TO BONE'S MUSIC, I HEARD ONE TRACK IT WAS OKAY, THEN I HEARD HOCICO - COMPARE !! OBVIOUSLY FAT OLD PEOPLE SHOULD JUST PRODUCE SINCE YOU FAT OLD PEOPLE SEEM TO HAVE ALL THE LOOT IN THE WORLD. (AND NO TALENT)

Huh :o ... a pan is nothing else then another channel-gain with left and right connected in reverse. If you have a VSTi with a weak output on one side it will sound PANNED (slightly) to the other side. There's no difference in correcting it with a pan or with separate left-right faders.
