Thank you dbuffy, well its from the RM4 kits I made with the samples, the demos are just quick mp3's as an indicator to some of the sounds rather that its sonic potential - I used very low velocities in the demos - and no - not one - external effect, so that the sounds can be better auditioned.

Kit 3 and Kit 4 (the ones with the SuperSubs in), the ones with the remo shelled toms who have not one ring in them, I can assure you have the potential to knock the ceilings down in the right hands  - I must admit I am tempted to post a track demoing it in that light. :D - but that will be a bit of fun for me to do this Saturday :D
Please do; I'm always looking for good drum samples and tend to favour big rock drums. I'd love to hear a demo in that vein.

It says 16 bit 44.1 ;)

My samples are 24 bit 96 kHz
all my CD's are 16/44.

Cool :) Well the Remo kit is my Rock kit - I also have another kit that's funk/fusion, some of my free samples were based around the fusion kit (not many like the fusion toms) it's why I have started my first samplestream sample kit with the remo rock kit.

I don't know what to write here Krim - another statement maybe, like umm! My car has four wheels, or I like caburys cream eggs about this time of year - my dvd's are 24 bit 96 kHz ;)

Don't forget the CD you got is an end product - the things have been mastered from something entirely different to 16 bit 44 kHz - generally 'more' people 'now' work at higher sample rates and bit depths simply because the sound cards, software and some cheaper hardware, supports it. Higher sample rates and bit depths offer less noise, more headroom and less artefacts during mixing of the original tracks ect, of course if you only want to push everything upto clipping point in a digital domain adding more distortion etc, then 16 bit is still pretty cool for that. Why work at lower rates if you don't have to - you mix down to 16 at the mastering house for the end user music cd's.

However for my samples If guys really want 16-bit they can ask - it's a 30 second job in R8BrainPro to convert them ;)
