I'm searching for a bunch of VST (or DX) effects that "alter sound" (if that makes any sense). I mean in the form of CamelPhat and CamelSpace. Effects that actually take the sound and make something cool with it. I'm not interested into reverbs, delays or mastering effects. But rather more extreme (I only know of those two from Camel that are that extreme).

edit: so I don't open two threads: I'm also in a need of a goodish stereo enhancer.

check these threads about cool plugins. i happen to like odd plugins myself. my vst folder resides a lot of fsu plugs.

Lucifer2 has a lot of interesting ways to hurt your sounds, including tons of effects linked to graphs, and some more unusual tricks and treats. I think it is still sold at the old price (66.66$, going up to 99.99$ real soon)

From the makers of Lucifer there's Minion, a free plug that has several filters and distortion effects tied to LFOs and that can produce some nice rythmic and evolving effects (among other things)
Another free one that is really worth a mention is DtBlkFx, which seems a powerful, flexible thingie.

vikernes - you might want to try phutboyslim and scuzzphut6.5-lite from my website.
They're both free and they're not your "normal" fx
