hi how do i make the bitcrushing effect fade in on my melody? any tips?

Depends upon what your DAW or sequencer is, and what bitcrusher you're using.

i can't wait to start making plug-ins again... iv'e got like six just sitting in my projects, un-gui'd - user unfriendly... oh, to have a roof over my head, and a steady job.... oh well.

If your plugin has a dry/wet (or sort of) control, just automate that.
