These samples were taken from Maxime de La Rochefoucauld CD 'Collection Somnambule' (Music for sleepwalkers). The archive also contains a folder with some photographs of the automatons. For more information about the automatons and their control system, please visit his website:

These samples are free and can be used royalty-free in any piece of music. The only restriction is that you are not allowed to sell or distribute in any way the samples themselves, even in modified form, without our authorization.

Maxime also prepared the Rhodes that was sampled in our Prepared Rhodes sample set.

I made variations and put them in a sfz file. In fact I loaded some of the samples in discoDSP HighLife sampler, tweaked them a bit, add some loops and used HighLife's ability to export the result in the sfz format.

Some samples are transposed and creatively looped from C1 to F#1, so hold those keys. Then from G1 to G8 only one sample is used and it can be played as a tuned percussion.

the only sounds i can find are those demos in the 'disk' section which i can't work out how to download anyway. :s

On this page, you only have to click on the yellow "HERE" in capital letters and the download should start automatically. Or right-click on it and use the "save target as.." command from the pop-up menu.

On our website, any blue underlined link will work the same way as describe above. Let me know if you still have problems.
