You are joking, rigth??? i was expecting for something like €2000 at least, the price of nice laptop.
Well it must come not with any software, innit?

Anyway i can't figure what Kore's about... an audio\MIDI interface which allowes me to browse presets or something in the line of Receptor.

It will come with software to manage the sounds and instruments you already own. It does not come with any of its own sounds or instruments.

So i will need a PC to make noises with it aside smashing it on the PA.

thanks

Totally reasonable price for what it does..

I think alot of people are going to be surprised by it's capabilities.

I wonder if there will be specials for NI customers?

I'm keeping an eye out on it, but I think I'm going to be surprised if I'm actually surprised by it's capabilities :D

I think it's a fair price. Look at it this way- for your $500 you get a host with built in effects (and as most people who own NI products will tell you, NI does know how to make good FX), a combination control surface/interface designed to work with said host AND your NI factory library patches already categorized as Kore sounds, along with combinations of those sounds to use as Kore sounds. Add to that the fact that you can use third party plugins inside it, and what's not to like?

As for your question, Riley- I could see the sense in offering a special price to Komplete owners, and I'd be surprised if they don't do so.

I'll pass on more info as I get it. I'm one of the Kore forum moderators, so stop on by and say hi some time :)

This is exciting stuff! I agree with EW, $500.00 is already a good deal for what it does. And I think NI makes great Effects and Instruments, I have never felt so complete as I have after getting Komplete. :)

Well when you say host i understand Kore doesn't use CPU power to run the VSTi but then i don't see it crearly stated on the NI's brochure.
I get the impression that it's a cutting edge audio\MIDI interface but not DSP powered. Am i rigth???

Built in effects? I just scanned through this and couldn't find any mention of built in effects.

What effects are in there and are there any details posted anywhere?

HI

All I see here is a midi controller (which looks quite limited when compared to the 16 sliders/knobs on my £79 Edirol) and a software front end that acts as a librarian come keymapper for overlaying several sounds.

This certainly isn't a host from what I can see.

I kinda think it looks like an expensive utility program rather than anything new, or perhaps I missed something?

I just wish they f**king hurry up and fix kontakt2. They'd be lucky to get a penny from me until they do.

Kind regards

There's 14 of them, and you must have scanned through too quickly...
