True...but I heard one time he was short an apertif

But, despite rumors to the contrary, (due to the many bonuses he throws into the group buys) he is not a few bottles short of a case. :D

I buy from Esoundz because of two main considerations. These are the quality of the products and the exceptionally high level of service. The latter is incarnate in the form of Squids and his team : Synthdan, Elijah et al. at Esiundz/SR. Some of you may remember that I went for Philharmik even though the dongle had me spooked bigtime. I did so because Squids reassured me he was right - as he is alwlays. In fact I like the syncrosoft dongle it now (not enough to switch to Cubase though :hihi: ). I will buy CSR when I have the funds in hand even though the demo dongle didn't work properly for me. I know any problems I have will be sorted out promptly.

Best regards,
Gordon

Alright! I have some interesing advance info. (like I always try to do) Check this out. You will get the official word via an IK emailing next week. But, I can leak a few things about AT2 that you might want to know. Just remember that I am speaking to you as esoundz here. ;)

Okay. First of all, anyone who has (or decides to do so now here: http://www.esoundz.com/details/viewDeta ... uctID=1345 ) purchased the actual PRE-ORDER of AmpliTube 2 you come first in the shipping process which... drum roll please? Starts some time next week. Yes, it's not a dream. ;)

Now, for the people that bought AT1 full on or after Sept 1, 2005. I have some good news and bad news for you. First the sort of bad news. Do you have any idea how many people qualify for this upgrade? I don't know the exact number but its in the THOUSANDS. It will take IK months to get them all out the door because obviously they have to come after or at least be mixed in amongst a very large amount of dealer and distributor orders. It is a good problem to have for a company when your product is going out the door by the thousands. But, for some customers it can mean even more waiting...

Okay, so because I am always on this forum talking to you guys and getting a feel for what customers want I thought of some requests that were made that if it was offered it would help anxious AT1 free upgraders out big time. A DOWNLOAD! This way you wouldn't have to wait. I mean, the manual is even duplicated in PDF so why CAN'T it be offered as a download? Well, IK wasn't going to do it because it needs to have a syncrosoft key. So, I said "How many people do you think already have one or would even go GET a Steinberg key for $20 from a store just to be able to download AT2 today instead of waiting 2 months to get it?" Then I asked if someone could look up how many AT1 qualifying customers owned Miroslav or CSR (because I KNOW at least a lot of esoundz platinum members do!!!!). It turned out to be QUITE A LOT! Aha. Then I asked if someone could look up how many had Steinberg products like Cubase and that ALSO ended up being a lot. So, the good news is they agreed to offer it ALSO as a download if you have a key already and this way you don't have to wait. Whew!

So, you know what the means? If you bought AT1 after September 1 2005 and you have a syncrosoft key (syncrosoft keys are sold as Steinberg Keys or Ikeys on their own -OR- they come with various products from Steinberg, IK, Arturia, Vienna...) you could be jamming with AmpliTube 2 next week!

Now, obviously all AT1 qualifiers can potentially benefit for this. But, just so you know, I did this for our esoundz gold and platinum members. The percentage of AT1 qualifiers on esoundz that already have Miroslav or CSR are in the 80-90% or so. Since you guys already HAVE an IKey you should be psyched not to have to wait.

Anyway, this isn't an official announcement from IK. I am not authorized to do that. I did beg to leak a little of this though because I knew some people would be anxious to know. Like I said, the official word will come beginning of next week including instructions on how to fill out the form to decide if you want the download sans key option or the hard copy discs and manuals with the key to be sent out snail mail and in a long list of thousands of people waiting.

Elijah will be able to help esoundz customers if need be although it is pretty straight forward this way. If you choose the download I think the license codes just show up in your user area.

Now, some people will ask if the product will also be available to just buy via digital delivery. I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. If so it would only be through IK and with no discount. However, for people who want to order AT2 or the AT2 upgrade (if you own AT1 purchased before Sept 1 2005 or if you own AT1 LE or Live) esoundz will be shipping out units by the end of next week and like many IK dealers, esoundz has placed a HUGE stocking order to be able to accomodate as many people as possible in case it goes on back order. We know the drill on these things.

Anyway, I hope you like my news. Have fun with AT2! (finally)

Every once in a while I lobby for something I feel strong about and sometimes I win. :hihi: Sometimes I don't. I've also been lobbying for much, much faster announcement to release scheduling... but you have to understand that I am in no position to criticize when we still don't have the Studiophonik sounds ready!!!!! However, this is a point we've made for ourselves (Sonic Reality) as well moving forward.

Anyway, cool huh? Sickle you are going to love AT2. It's a distortion tool kit! That through your CSR would be awesome.

This is good news. Am I right in assuming that by choosing the download version does preclude getting the boxed version?

Great news Squids!! So am I correct in assuming that since I bought an AT1 cross-grade from you a couple months back, I can go buy this dongle and then download my free update as soon as it's available?

It is the same version. Just not physically on CDs and with a printed manual. For that you'd have to wait technically. Although, Elijah at esoundz can get hold of some extra manuals and boxes separately down the road if you really wanted them. We can only offer that to esoundz customers (and a good idea to ask for this favor would be when you are buying something else and see if he can throw the AT2 manual in the box). IK won't be able to offer that to thousands of people requesting different things. IK will offer two choices: download if you have/get a key OR the snail list that comes with the box, manuals and a key.

But, anyway, if you bought AT1 after Sept 1 (including even find it somewhere now) and have or pick up an Ikey or Steinberg key (or any syncrosoft key) then you can get the download which comes with the PDF manual. You really have everything you NEED to use it. Just not the physical printed materials.

Yes. Actually, here's a tip. If you want to buy the Ikey from IK you can do it in their on line shop but I recommend doing it ASAP! Why? Because there could be thousands of people doing it and then even that will have a wait. So, if you order it this week you should be okay (well, if you order it before this is even announced on Monday or whatever then you are in really good shape).

However, your best back up option is to buy a Steinberg Key! This is actually available in a lot of stores and it will work fine (same exact thing).

We're going to carry keys on esoundz too but don't currently. I didn't think this was going to be an option or we would have ordered a bunch of keys to help out with this. Well, anyway, I did my part in helping as best I could. Good luck!
