cubase sx3 and undoing a recording take

i've got a question about cubase sx3 and undoing a recording take.

midi recording:
transport cycle = on
mode = merge
cycle = mix

is it possible to undo just the last recorded cycle without stopping the recording and selecting undo record?

this used to be possible in older versions of cubase by simply pressing a key during recording. this was speedy as you could repeatedly undo each layer recorded and immediately hear the result of undo without having to stop and re-start.
