Hi, the standalone, vst, mfx and vstma versions will have their own GUI and not being dependent of the script.
I still hope Sonar will include VST-MIDI soon as the Mfx version may be a pain to use (and to write) as you need the standalone to convert sysex to cc then, you can't directly listen back to your track, and need to apply the fx first, which is very annoying.
And I'm still looking to have about 2-3 continuous weeks to finish this project.

Good news... it looks like it might be in the just announced Sonar 5.2. Guess they must have saw your post...mbncp wrote:I still hope Sonar will include VST-MIDI soon as the Mfx version may be a pain to use (and to write) as you need the standalone to convert sysex to cc then, you can't directly listen back to your track, and need to apply the fx first, which is very annoying.

Awwww damnit... guess I gotta take it back. They just clarified and it's midi out for vsti's only. Guess that means it'll be a long way off. Maybe they didn't read your post after all...

Well, it's actually what we need, the plug is a VSTi sending MIDI out, then the MIDI needs to be redirected to another VSTi.chrisby wrote:[..]it's midi out for vsti's only[..]
The only problem is that the plug generating the MIDI needs to be called before the synth to avoid an extra buffer latency, but I suppose they handle that correctly.
And let's hope they included sysex as well.

Please forgive what might be a dumb question - but does anyone know why .hta files report that they are not a valid Win32 applications when I try to run them?

Hi, everyone! I'm new to the board & just picked up an EZ-EG. I can't seem to get it to trigger anything on my PC, and when I use it with an external sound module (Roland MOC-1), each string is controlling its own patch. Is there any way to send all strings on MIDI channel 1 when directly controlling a sound module? Are there any BIOS hacks on the EZEG themselves that allow this (and can they be reversed)? Also, any idea what I may be doing wrong that it won't send any data to my PC? I have installed the UX16 driver from Yamaha for WinXP (it said it installed fine), I made sure all the connections were solid, I installed MIDI-OX (formerly MIDI-YOKE) and I'm trying to get some input into Cubase VST32 and ultimately Finale 2002. I can't get anything to come up when I'm in Cubase, and I set MIDI-YOKE with the Yamaha USB IN 0-1 as the MIDI input and I tried all MIDI outputs (soft synths and the Yamaha itself) to no avail. I don't quite understand the port mapping or Port Map options, but I'm not sure if those are necessary.
Sorry for the long first post, and thanks in advance for any assistance. The EZ-EG sounded amazing with the Roland module--like having an orchestra! But, I want to get it so when I adjust the MIDI channel 1 patch, it will change all strings. Scrolling through 250 patches for each of the 6 channels will get tedious.

What if I want to use your tool for playing receptor hosted vsti's live? I tried the scripts on my laptop and was inspired. But this setup would be too complicated for a live use. I don't own a receptor yet, but if there would be a really simple to use live solution in combination with an EZ-EG guitar it could be an option for me buing one. (and also the EZ-EG tools of course)mbncp wrote:Hi, the standalone, vst, mfx and vstma versions will have their own GUI and not being dependent of the script.

This would require receptor to support VST-MIDI and SYSEX, which I doubt it does.horn wrote:What if I want to use your tool for playing receptor hosted vsti's live?
