Actually, Gato is Argentinian. A whole lot of Italians emmigrated to Argentina as well as to New York in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

If its gonna be gato you gotta cover that growl thats done with the harmonized humming, and he does a lot of reed growl too, the multiphonics. gato is growl city.

the plugin now struck me as phil woods, stan getz but i like SoulTrane cause it would look in the catalog next to Milestone, kinda continuity.

I vote for SoulTrane too - Coltrane is my favourite sax player. Been wracking my brain for other names but the best I could come up with was Blackbird (as in Bye Bye Blackbird). To be honest, it could be called Fifi Trixabelle for all I care, I just want to play the damn thing
