If he thought that - it would be cheaperAKJ wrote:don't you think that your libs are a bit overpriced considering today's market situation?
Samples take time and money.
Everyone has an idea of what it should cost - ultimately it's the sound designer (or sample guy) who makes the initial decision - it's a flooded market so, maybe he sells one or two at that price and it makes it worthwhile for him. Probably a better marketing strategy in this area.

Most sampled pianos that are available have been produced in a time period of a month or so. There was a great deal more time spent in producing the Bardstown Bosendorfer Imperial Grand Model 290.. well over a year, and the difference in quality is noticeable. There were no "shortcut" processes taken in the development of this beautiful instrument. We are having a 25% off sale on all Bardstown Audio sampled instrument products through March 31.

No offence but those fake strings on the demo are absolutely hideous. I almost stopped listening. Would think it better as a demo if you played *just* the piano, instead of a weasely muzak...

I very much agree with you about the strings. Alan Russell produced this demo and we got the same exact comments on another forum regarding these strings. Below I have copied and pasted Alan's response regarding these strings from the other forum.

Alan's Quote:
"I'd like to respond to the Strings used. They are from the Garritan Lite collection. I would've probably been better off using the performance tools for my Opus I collection of VSL but it is in Giga format which I do not prefer since Kontakt is my choice. Sorry about the strings..All of my tracks are played in real time and I do wish that more of a legato articulation could have been achieved."
Glad you enjoyed the piano!

well, I believe that it was a lot of work to produce this piano lib and the demos also show a good quality. however, the pmi bösendorfer is no worse to my ears and it is available at 50 USD. Ivory, which features a Bösendorfer, a Steinway and a Yamaha, with so many twaeking options, is just 250. So, comparing your offer to these, I get the impression that the price is too high. anyway, good luck!

There are many people who have all of the major sampled pianos, including the ones you have mentioned, who say that the Bardstown Bosendorfer is by far their favorite choice among them. Furthermore you can tweak any sampled piano in any of the samplers just the same as you can in any of the "stand alone" pianos that you mentioned.
