I am wondering how it works for for the free upgrade the download version. Are we to receive an email when the IK multimedia dl link is ready. I believe that we have to notify eSoundz whether we want to boxed version or not.

Esoundz shows the product as Shipping too! But nothing about the download just yet. At least I haven't found it.

Hrm? You don't honestly think there's a download version, do you? Is there? I coulda sworn it'd be retail box only.

It's an Esoundz exclusive as I understand it. Squids previously explained that the backlog of upgrade customers is so large that shipping would be delayed a bit. So he was going to try to work out a stop-gap that would allow Esoundz customers that already have a Syncroft dongle from another product to download AT2 instead of getting a box shipped.

Squids already mentioned a download version for people that are waiting for the boxed software.

awesome! so, it sounds like the ones that went out--and believed in the hype--and bought the v1.0 for the free 2.0 upgrade, get shafted so that they [IK] can ship copies to the people that'll pay more for it now instead of shipping to the ones that already "paid" for it?! ;p

sorry...just had to point that out. since i bought it straight from ik's online download hoping that v2.0 would just be a download the day it shipped! --yes...i've been checking their site daily...egarly awaiting news.

(oh...and no...nowhere on the ik site did it EVER mention that you'd need any hardware (key), nor did they mention that you wouldn't either so.... so it was just hopeful thinking that it could just be a download...but it woulda been nice for info!

but then again, it'd be nice if IK would let the ones whom are getting the "free upgrade" know what the situation is for us.)

oh...hehehe...yes...and i know this is the eSoundz thread so please don't reply saying i shoulda bought from eSoundz--i'm not in the states anymore (makes buying stuff a bit more "difficult" unfortunately--sometimes.) heheh :p
