Other options than LL Touchpad2Midi?

I have an ALPS Touchpad in my Dell I9100 not supported by Livelabs Touchpad2MIDI. Does any other software exist that emulates a midi controller with my touchpad?

I'm currently exploring using windows API calls to get data from the touchpad without knowing about the driver - this will hopefully enable limited functionality using an alps touchpad.
The most annoying limitation will be that it's not possible to use the point-nibble-control-thingy or a usb mouse while using the touchpad.
