I don't know anything about Rayspace but that first example sounded to me like a flutter echo from a realistic but acoustically bad room. Any setting that would spread the sound out like non parallell walls or uneven walls should in theory be an improvement. You could also try using softer materials in the walls if possible and also cut some treble down to get more of a wooden and less of a tiled sound.
