Sorry for mentioning the word dongle or ikey (i know its a sensitive subject) but I own sonik synth 2 and amplitube so I decided to crossgrade to CSR. I noticied that MY box doesn't include an ikey...making CSR useless as of now. Is this a shipping mistake or do crossgrades come without the ikey? I have emailed IK and called them...havnt returned my calls as of now. Does anyone know if i have to purchase an ikey online for CSR? Some more information on the IK site could have made life easier but it doesn't have any clear information about this.

Well, you need to go back to whoever you ordered it from and tell them or else get a key from somewhere else...I think Squids mentioned in another thread that Korg was selling these on their website for 9 bucks...

I know that you can d/l licenses with the License Control Center software that CSR installs. I don't know if you would be able to d/l a license for CSR to a blank key.
However, if you explain what happened to IK support, they can probably hook you up with a license and maybe even the key...

I don't know whats happening as of now...I filed a report to the reseller i bought it from and they are supposedly looking into the problem. As for Ik multimedia...i think there support has been pretty lame lately(yes i know they are overburdened from AT 2). Maybe I am just having bad luck or IK is having a bad week but 200 bucks less and no CSR working is quite aggrovating. I am not bashing, just sharing my experience.
On to other things,I noticied if you decide to download the amplitube 2 update and you don't own an ikey you can buy one and it should work. I wonder if it works the same for CSR as beergeek pondered. However, its confusing because an Auth code is supposed to already be on the ikey according to the CSR manual. Dammit...where are the awnsers!
