cYrus, you are forgetting that Manuel Schleis was beta-tester of this synth and created lots of factory presets for itcYrus wrote:i bought a waldorf microwave II some days ago .. let's see if the wavetables of the komplexer are so great too

manuel made only 10 presets for the komplexertwister wrote:cYrus, you are forgetting that Manuel Schleis was beta-tester of this synth and created lots of factory presets for itcYrus wrote:i bought a waldorf microwave II some days ago .. let's see if the wavetables of the komplexer are so great tooNot to mention that latest Vengeance newsletter mentioned Manuel's compatibility of microQ patches with Komplexer. This is going to be a beast!!! Of course, we still don't know much about upcoming Vengeance VSTi (but how can you go wrong with another ReFX/Vengeance colaboration
)
but i've the demo version of komplexer now here.. let's see how it really sounds.

Where did you get a demo?!?!? unless you are e-mailing directly from MusikMesse?
10 presets, that's all? I guess they wanted to be selective and didn't want to advertise this synth as another "hands up" german techno-trance-club-making machine
So, how does it sounds to you? Lets us know!!!

Komplexer: 400 parametersPAK wrote:Of course, this VST instrument also affords users unrestricted access to all of the sophisticated synthesis engine's 400 parameters.
Kubik: 1000s of parameters

if you are not a sounddesigner, but a consumer/producer looking for a "ready sounds" to tweak into your production, it doesn't matter how many parameters you have outside of your basic oscillator/filter/envelope controls. A high quality usable soundset will set it apart from others. IMHO.

It does load into eXT, but the CPU usage is a bit too much for my humble laptop. Even lowering the number of voices to 1 doesn't help (Komplexer.ini).
Will try again on a better workstation when I get home.

nah don't think it needs that much cpu.. usually a load of 2% cpu usage on my amd x2 4800 but the presets doesn't it's justice.. i^m now tweaking around and can get some decent sounds out of it. the unison mode is a bit dull/muddy and destorys the sound imho. but it has a lot of modulation potential..mmdejonge wrote:It does load into eXT, but the CPU usage is a bit too much for my humble laptop. CPU usage has peaks of 60-70% here (AMD 2.7, 1GB RAM )! OMG! Excellent sounding, but not usable.

true, I just couldn't resist the opportunity to prove that kubik is komplexertwister wrote:if you are not a sounddesigner, but a consumer/producer looking for a "ready sounds" to tweak into your production, it doesn't matter how many parameters you have outside of your basic oscillator/filter/envelope controls.

it uses only 60% of your CPU...jimvictor wrote:what are the demo limitations?
