Thanks again Junebug! I just love Friday releases -- something to play with for the weekend.

For those of us that pre-ordered, do we get download emails or something?

EDIT: never mind this inane question. I got my preorders confused. :dog:

thanks

here's another little demo of Ubergate, with a screenshot to illustrate.

The gate is in "feedthru" mode, so the incoming audio is passed through and mixed with the effects.

As you can see the gate steps are only open for a brief twitter. Also note that the gate decay is very short, so the first gate opening is just a click. The second one has a tie after it, so it's longer.

One of the effects chains is simply a bass boost, with some overdrive.
The second channel provides the delays through a high pass filter.

Lots of neat combos like this available :-)

On the mp3 you will hear the clean source audio first (it's Imposcar) then the effected audio.

HI

Will there be a demo?

I just like to check compatability!

Quick question, is this the enhanced Scuzzphut that was discussed some time ago. I see June and Scuzzphut on this thread. Is this is co-production?

I am considering purchasing the Producers Vault (sound fonts) along with this gate (sounds great). Do you have any reviews you can point to for some general discussion? I'll likly be importing them into EXSP24. I am wondering if the samples are raw or if they are velocity layered , looped and trimmed properly. In other words do they go beyond single shot samples. If I do go this route what will be my final cost on Ubergate? Many thanks.

scotty - yes, this is a scuzzphut plugin, inspired and commissioned by junebug.

he's the boss, but I can answer any techie questions.

the gate in this plugin is a much improved version, with better synchronisation, a new passthru mode and pattern chaining to create 32 or 64 steps. it still has all the good features of 6.5-lite, including pattern change synced to bar start and the click-n-drag setting of gate steps.

add to that 2 independent fx chains , each with tempo synced delay, hp-lp-bp filter, with tempo synced lfo, chorus-flanger-phaser , 3-band eq and overdrive - that's ubergate in a nutshell.

junebug will answer your other questions soon, i'm sure.

Right now, we are not going to put up a demo version of Ubergate. Currently, the Ubergate has been tested with the following hosts:
Minihost
EXT
FL Studio
Orion Platinum
Orion Pro
Cubase SE3

thanks!

they are not velocity layered or looped. they are as you said one-shot samples. the soundfonts are very big in size as we have programmed all-new sounds, then multi-sampled them heavily and key-mapped them out. the pads are long and evolving - and again, no loop points. shouldnt be a problem unless you hold down your pads for longer than about 15 seconds...

these soundfonts were created more for using in your sequencer hosts than for playing live on stage.

hope this helps!

if you purchase the freestyle session DVD along with Ubergate, we'll gladly take $15.00 off Ubergate for you so your final price would be only $14.99.

take care!

i have bought it and it rocks really good plugin to spice up some synth or drums parts ;
and it came with shark vst (simple sample based vst wich have not convinced me , the oscilators aren't really effective)
