Hello there,
I wonder if anyone could help me decide what to do here.
I really like the sound of CSR, the demo is great and I qualify for the crossgrade price so i could get it for about £150ish. However I wouldn't mind saving a little extra for a Powercore compact if anyone can tell me if they think the reverb is atleast on par with CSR and the other plugs are good then I might go for it.
I also really like the Eqium demo, is EQsat anything like that??
Cheers!

Classic Reverb is a true work horse and worth the prize of the Compact it self, IMO. Don't know CSR, but I think IK's products usually have a lot of initial bling, but you get a bit tired with them in the long run (I know Sampletank, T-Racks, Amplitube).

Do you have a compact? do you think i would regret getting the compact and wish i had gone for the full firewire? Denoiser looks good and the extra power would probably be handy.. but all that money!!respirator wrote:Classic Reverb is a true work horse and worth the prize of the Compact it self, IMO. I have a Compact. Soon I'll soup it up with one or more PCI's (just bought an Element from a fellow KVRian - might buy an Unplugged soon too). I bought the Compact because I mainly used a laptop at the time (and got a stellar deal, because I reviewed it for a mag). Never regretted it. Start out with the Compact and then upgrade if needed. I don't have any use for the denoiser, so that didn't play a role for me. But I often hits the processor ceiling of the Compact (working at 88.2/24). And if you use Cubase then be aware that freeze doesn't free up PoCo resources.
Oh, and don't forget Filtriod (with true sidechain) and Tubifex - great plugs.
