What an amazing synth!
I have owned a micro q in the past and i would say the sound is very similar, and the filters screem like the waldorf one!
I cant make comparaison becose i dont have the q anymore but (imho) Komplexer do have the same character of the Q .
Fat and digital ,exellent for making long evelving pad.
Cpu is not that bad . try reducing the polyphony at 16 in the option menu.(default is 30). curiously using he unison doesnt make a big difference in cpu usage.
Unfortunatly the demo doesnt allow loading micro q preset and thats a shame becose i would have been able to make a better comparaison between the Q and komplexer.

Can't find much on their website about this product & where does it sell in the UK; it does not seem readily available at most major outlets?

Demo sound exellent. I did however notice the following.
1. No WT loading enabled...tell us how many are included.
2. Layering does not seem to work or uses non standard implementation.
3. In Arp page the "Clock" pulldown seems not to work.
If these issues are cleared up or just need a manual to clarify and there is a good selection of WTs to load, this will be a show stopper.
Those aside, this Synth sounds exellent and is up there with the market leaders. It does seem to have the Q quality and I will do some back to back testing soon. I've tried every WT VST out there and they all lack the powerful sound of Waldorf but this seems prety damned good. Modulation is outstanding and includes arithmetic functions as on the MWII/XT
The MP3 demo at http://www.vengeance-sound.com/eng/inde ... xHOME.html is worth a listen

1. I'm guessing you won't be able to load wavetables- the two included are all you'll have (just like a Q/mQ, which only has two- Alt1 and Alt2)coldmachine wrote:Demo sound exellent. I did however notice the following.

2. The layering thing's a mystery...
3. The pulldown doesn't work, but the slide does.

Layering works by simply setting the input midi channel to 5.ew wrote:2. The layering thing's a mystery...
That's why all the layered presets have something like Ch5 in their names.
Here's one of those:

1 midi note, some playing with the macro controllers.

1. WT loading is in the file menu and therefore available, hence the word "enabled" rather than "implemented"
3. I know the slide works, it actually obscures the pull down.

I can use the demo layers, the problem is creating ones own. Red led enables a layer, selection of blue makes that layer the current "focus" but when i select a prog it defaults to layer 1. I suspect it is a demo limitation and that the 1-4 buttons on the "Keyboard" page are the method employed.
