Cubase SX, Pitch Question??????????????????

If you know FL Studio then you will most likely have a better chance of answering my question.
OK know how in FL Studio you load a sample (snare i.e.), once the sample is loaded you can now play that exact sample on different pitches threw out the keys on your midi controller (low to high pitches of that same sample).
How do you do that on Cubase? Do you have to have a sampler that features such function or can you do it in the drum edit program?
Thanks in advanced!

dear mrcleva, are you using Cubase? or just want to know out of curiosity?

Cubase has a pitch tool that will alter the pitch of any sample as desired. However, AFAIK, there is nothing that will automatically spread the sample throughout the keyboard automatically. You'll need a sampler for that.

Cubase is a Audio/Midi Sequencer/Host. It does not come with a Sampler. but it has some VST instruments in SX version.
so you need a sampler for that. try SFZ free sampler which will do the same and also load SF2(soundfonts).
