haha but we are talking about electronic music where there are no rules.

dx-9 i think you made these people excited by taking on this project... it already looks like the real thing lol! you knew you were asking for trouble, no?

my wish is to see an auto sample rate conversion mechanism, or perhaps a mode for each pad where you could choose the rate from among those employed on the real thing... you could even model characteristics or distortions inherent to the hardware apart from samplerate.

what about an onboard sequencer complete with that swangin feel and patterns that were synced to the hosts tempo...

anyway we were just brainstorming. :)

ups sorry didn't see..

you're talking about the effect VST right?

well to be honest I didn't remember how it works
cos' the effect was made quite rapidly on request.

right. :P
we tried to implement a sequencer. (same as in tatapum)
but it didn't work for us.

Hi,

Just wanted to say that I LOVE the SD 2100 drum sampler! The GUI is really intuitive & the effects sounds good! Plus, the patches loads very quicktly with about zero second of loading time, also the VSTi is very light on the cpu which means it will be used by more people! Overall it's a really fun freebie with a well balanced set of features & cool interface.

Thanks!!!

Just wanted to let you know we sd2100,and fx2100 users still think your emulators rock!
Any idea if there will also be an update to the fx2100?
Keep up the great work! :)

jup thank you!

working hard now, so not much time here.
there will be something new coming soon and then I will have some time to do some updates for shure

Post

Any new news?

Post

Yes, this would be uber-cool !

Post

none of the links in this thread seem to be valid. anywhere else i can pick this up?

thanks!!

Post

Er... am I imagining things or are the links and all snapshots down? o_O

What is this? Where can somebody get more info, etc?
And wasn't there a similar tool already in the database (that looked like the E-MU 1200) and/or didn't KEYS germany already release a sample based drum machine on the E-MU one? (the "Love the Machines" series - one GUI, new samples each magazine.)

EDIT:
Apparently this was the SD2100 ( http://rekkerd.org/acquit-music-releases-sd-2100-v10/ )
Wasn't it released with extracted FX module for seperate usage, or was that a different drum VSTi?

EDIT:
Even here, it was the FX2100.
Both tools are still available via Plugindex.de
Though I'm not 100% sure as I don't have a login there.

And frankly, I dunno if the original samples are included. I read on some boards that they aren't. Hm... any info would be nice.

Just got it yesterday!

The original samples are not included. It's a bit frustrating. But I use it as a player and I like the effects pretty much!

EDIT: +
And yeah - If somebody has an idea what's up with the links it would be nice to know. As those guys seem to have made some more VST's!

where did you get it?

thanks.

Post

yeah, and where to get the "original samples" from?
Since EMU discontinued this thing and didn't rerelease them (unless they're in the MoPhat/XL-1 Proteus Rack and Proteus X).

Then again... weren't there tons of free samples available for the MPC once with oldschool drummachines? But I don't remember the SD1200 being among it.

I got it from the German website and I have to say that they pretty much nailed the sound down: gritty & punchy. The thing has its own sample set which is available in the presets. Any sample you load into it turns into lo-fi hiphop goodness though. My only peeve is the lack of seperate outputs, but it works just fine as is.

What the heck happened to the makers though? Did they go out of business? That would be a shame.

Hey I found it on Gersic by accident..
anyone still looking for it can download it here by scrolling down to #440:
