What news from you, Mr. Many? :)

Post

What's the date again?

Post

It may be a joke? But I dont think it's a bad idea. It seems that the manyguitar engine is improved over EVE One 1.1 and there's really been nothing said about a Dash update.

Then there's always the "I wish for a manybass" ..... 8)

Post

HI Guys
Well it is no joke.

Manytone is taking over the Eve One VSTi and we are fixing up a few things on it and will be releasing it as "ManyOne".

It will be different then ManyGuitar even though it shares the same basic engine. ManyOne will have different distortions and FX more geared towards synth soundsets rather than guitars.

As for a ManyBass .... well ManyGuitar already covers that as there is a Ton of awesome Bass Guitars in ManyGuitar and with the Ultimate Bass Kit add on you will be Extra covered. ;-)

Anyways we are currently putting ManyOne together and the coder is fixing up a few things with it.
It will remain a very inexpensive sample player and we will be making more content available for it.

Stay tuned for news very soon!

Will it have the amp/cabinet from ManyGuitar? Will it be free for current EVE ONE owners? I am particularly interested in the amp as I use EVE ONE to play UBK and also the Mellotronix Sounset from Dash/Hollowsun.

Hi pw

It will not have the amp sim and cabinets. We want a slightly different product as it would not make sense to make it the same exactly as ManyGuitar. ManyGuitar has been tuned and designed with Guitar and Bass Playback as the key feature. As i said above, ManyOne will be more geared towards Synths and Keys and other soundsets that will benefit from the different style distortions etc.

But I am pretty sure we will have a crossgrade to ManyGuitar for ManyOne owners. Really what you are paying for is the Content / Samples included with each product. But as the 2 products are based on the same engine but with different features and completely different Samplesets, we will more than likely offer a discount between the 2 products for regged users. (Meaning if you own one you can get the other at a discounted price)

Also we are not sure on the price yet of ManyOne as we are still deciding on what extra content to include etc. But, it will be cheaper than ManyGuitar, and we will offer a great deal to existing Eve One users..... This still has to be determined though, and will be based on the final content once we have it all together. (If there is a charge for existing Eve One users, it will be because of the extra content we add, or perhaps we may have a free engine only update..... we'll see. We are working out the final details now.)

Thanks manytone, it sounds great anyway without the amp/cabinet, I really like Aldo's effects. I probably would already have Manyguitar, and I like your UBK very much, but I just have no need for 6 string guitar samples.

Anyway, looking forward to it.

Paul,

I will be happy to make some presets / samples for you if you wish or need. I like the sound of this project.

And it's good to see this kind of business collaboration.

I'm not sure if it was stated already in the other thread, but: What happens to existing EVE ONE licenses? Do they automatically become ManyOne licenses? or do we have a license to a discontinued product, but with a crossgrade to ManyOne?

Hi Hans
I mentioned in my last post above about that.
Nothing is announced yet though, but i gave a hint as to what will most likely happen.

I'm sure that whatever you decide to offer will be more than generous based on my experience with Manystation.
I personally would like to request an engine only cross grade path to Many one or Manyguitar. I purchased Eve one for use with UBK and have been really happy with the combination with the exception of a couple of bugs that I assumed would be addressed by Dash.
Your decision to offer Synth sounds with Many one is understandable but as I have Manystation and Eve I have to ask myself if I really need another Synth, I'm pretty sure I have sounds I've never even listened to on my HD. Not that your stuff wont be good.
Regardless of the above, best of luck with the new venture. I'm pleased to see one of my favorite tools in the hands of a favorite vendor. This is sure to be a good combination however it works out. :)

What I read there is that there will be a good crossgrade option for existing users. And since I'll probably take that, my question becomes theoretical, only for EVE ONE users who don't crossgrade :)
