Amplitube 2 pre-order at Esoundz

It will take IK months to get them all out the door because obviously they have to come after or at least be mixed in amongst a very large amount of dealer and distributor orders.

This is just great...
We had to wait months because of the delays that IK made,
and now we need to wait more for it to ship to free upgraders...
Really sad....

Did I miss a memo, or did I just misunderstand Squid's original post on this thread? I thought AT1 purchasers would have a choice of box or download if they were Esoundz customers. I personally would wait for a box--but Squid's post on the endless kvr AT2 thread says that there's no box at all--that we would just be waiting for a dongle, and that it will be a download no matter what we choose to do.

Is that correct? Obviously, if that's the case, then I'll double up on the CSR dongle and get is sooner rather than later.

I just read this at the Sonar forum. Apparently someone got this e-mail from IK Multimedia today. Check it out:

It's my first purchase from esoundz.com.
Esoundz web site had it as "now shipping".
Today is Saturday, still no tracking number or any hint that the order was shipped.
Is this how things are usually going?
I also do not see a way to monitor on the site the status of my order.... or am I missing something?

They shipped out CSR the next day. I ordered AT2 on Friday so I don't know what's going on yet. They are in the same building as IK's US office and get things pretty fast, from what I've heard, so I imagine it won't be too long before they get them on the train.

Nope, they usually don't say shipping until they have the actual boxes and it usually ships the next day.

Log on, go to the members area, click on myesoundz (or something to that effect) and information about all of your orders will be there.

If there's no update in the status column, call Elijah on Monday...he always sorts this stuff out.

So who is sending the order if I bought through esoundz. I have email from IKM but it seems they are just sending either a dongle alone, or a download without the dongle if I have one already.

I'd give Elijah a call tomorrow and find out....hard to say but if they had a ton of pre-orders it's most likely taking a bit to get them all sorted out...

When I order this past week, Elijah said they were expecting theirs on Thursday or Friday. Assuming they got them in this time frame, I would assume they'll be shipping early this coming week.
