And even if they don't pay you, but just ask to use it in a commercial setting, e.g. in a commercial or at an event, that would be violating the license.

Sorry, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I wasnt implying it's good to break the agreement of the license. It's just that I've laid my dreams of making money from my music aside for some time, and enjoy making music with no commercial motives. (Which means I've stopped thinking "what if some guy offers me money for this" )

I thought you meant you're making music commercially. That would maybe mean you can afford buying samples. :) [edit]But I understand what you mean, chris_b.[/edit]
