----I keep nagging him to put an octaver or 2 in there somewhere, maybe there'll be a Metallurgy update someday, bump it up to an 11

glad you dig it. actually, i dont think i've heard the track you've mentioned. (and i think i've got to go check it out.) that mp3 was just something i stumbled upon while messing around. now that you mention it, i should go back to it and see if i can turn it into a song.Spyro wrote:ugo, the first demo song burns! it was inspired on "the missing suitcase" from The herbaliser by any chance?
thanks! email is on its way.thecontrolcentre wrote:can't wait for my email

Congrats Ugo!!!! metallurgy truly is a 10. I am still amazed at what it can do everytime I use it.
Doing some presets was just stractching the surface. it shines when you tweak it according to the source material.
...soon I will be back making some breakbeats and that will be my choice tool. Tweaking it live also kicks ass, when assigned to a controller. Djs could use it to great effect if they were wiser...
BTW, you could do a Dj oriented version with crossfaders and channel levels etc.... it really kicks used as an fx in a dj context.... but this one please sell it 100$ or more...

Congrats!
You know I like your synths a lot, but I had never tried Metallurgy till now; I've found it's a wonderful effects plugin, like it a lot and it's perfect for my pseudo-industrial sounds, however...I've found Metallurgy uses too much cpu, both in FL and Energy XT...too much...
but a great tool, really.

yeah, metallurgy can get pretty hungry. the more you've got running at once, the bigger the cpu hit is. so you can at least conserve some cpu by shutting off the effects and modulations that you dont need at the time.origami wrote:I've found it's a wonderful effects plugin, like it a lot and it's perfect for my pseudo-industrial sounds, however...I've found Metallurgy uses too much cpu, both in FL and Energy XT...too much...

Ugo,
Awesome plugin and congratulations - you deserve awards for your synths too - too bad they aren't given a 10!
I bought Metallurgy and already I am mangling synth parts and moving them nicely.
