There's an interview with Carmen Rizzo in the mai issue of the german mag KEYS.
On my iMac, I'm running Ableton Live, Melodyne, and all common software synthesizers, amoung them all ... IKM products.
Carmen Rizzo has produced and composed for lots of top notch world famous artists like Seal, Rachel Fuller, Pete Townshend and Trevor Horn.

He's really cool. One of my favorite producers actually. Love his work on the Niyaz album.

He engineered Seal's "Crazy" among many other things. Very talented.

I actually have a completely unreleased Seal album. It's not bad too. I think it got scrapped and the last one was put out instead. Trevor Horn. I am a cam-e-ra.

By the way, I walked around Victoria for 2 hours and didn't find a freakin' Indian restaurant. I ended up eating some crappy fish n chips. Oh well.

Hey Tele, too bad you didn't come by at Messe! I always like to see KVRians at these shows. That reminds me. I have to upload the picture of me, Putte and Mulltree from the show. It was a lot of fun.

If you go to an Indian restaurant, try out "Naan" with "Paneer butter masala", and "Poori with chenna". VERY yummy!! :D

Thanks Sam. I think I misssed the boat. But maybe there's something in Surrey, where I am going in a few hours. We'll see. I don't have to have Indian or good Fish n Chips. But, I try to eat what a place is known for. I could have had Italian last night but I am going to be in Italy in a few days so that doesn't make a lot of sense. Sushi was another option but that's something I can also get back home (if this was Japan it would be another story). So... on the other hand it is nice to just EAT! Especially when you are hungry and walking around at 9pm on a Sunday evening in somewhat cold and damp weather (realizing how spoiled we are in South Florida... apart from the odd Hurricane that wipes out everything ;) ).

Yes, too bad. Unfortunately I had to attend a HTML course that I had booked. See you next year, in this case.
Talking about food. Maybe I should find a nice place with real german food for you, next time you're in Frankfurt. Really good places with really typical german food (like the stuff they got in Bavaria) are not so easy to find in Frankfurt and in this area.

Oh, just heard about this one. This message was passed on. There's more to the story. But, this was the message:

"Miroslav is such a great product that Pete Townshend just went out and purchased a copy after he heard and saw a demonstration being used in a session by Carmen Rizzo. Carmen was recording in Pete's studio."

I would have given him one. Same thing happened with Peter Gabriel. I talked to one of the main engineers at Real World named "Dickie" and he said PG went out and bought a bunch of IK stuff (even Groove Maker). It is enjoyable seeing these legendary musicians that I grew up listening to using our sounds. Kind of feels like giving back.

If you have too many lying around, you can give me those :P

On a serious note, I don't wonder why top people like IK products, I like them a lot too, they are just top notch in quality and versatility (is that a word?!?)

I'm wanting to buy Miroslav and CSR, but atm I don't have money to do so unfortunately :(
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

News from your german food consultant

Try one of these dishes for a start:
  • - Bier-Haxe mit Sauerkraut: Haxe(a part of a porks leg) and Sauerkraut, Haxe is a typical Bavaria dish
    - Spießbraten in Biersoße mit hausgemachten Klößen und frischem Rotkohl: grilled meat with beersauce plus Klöße and Rtkohl (whatever that may be in english)
    - Frankfurter grüne Soße it 6 halben Eiern und Kartoffeln: Very typical stuff from Frankfurt. A special herbal sauce (green sauce) with eggs and patatoes
    - Handkäse: (is that Hand-cheese in english?) a typical cheese of the area
it usually comes with bread. Beware: One might need to get used to this stuff ;) But you gotta try it out some day to complete your cultural education. :)
If you haven't eaten Haxe, then you can't say that you know anything about Germany. :D
